TOP Reasons to Shop Online for Black Friday

If you're like me then the words "Black Friday" kinda freak you out a little bit. I accidentally shopped on that day with family and friends who were visiting from out of town a few years ago, and it was a sea of madness and now when I think of shopping on Black Friday in physical stores I think of:

*long lines outside of stores with Security guards managing them in order to avoid overflow
*general rudeness including pushing and shoving from otherwise normal, nice kind people
*there's never enough parking available or quick food spots open to help me re-fuel while shopping

Here's the Good News about Shopping Online on Black Friday Instead!

I'd much rather shop online for Black Friday and get
*either a coupon code for a % off or Free Shipping almost everywhere online, including my website
*not having to worry about driving in circles looking for parking because parking online is free!
*fighting on subways or buses in order to get on/get off/make room for your shopping bags
*not overspending because you can easily tally up your purchases in the online shopping cart and add or subtract items before checkout
*peace of mind

Another thing I love about shopping online is that in case you purchase something and it doesn't work out for some reason, the recipient doesn't like it, etc., as long as you keep the receipt/the item isn't worn, you can most likely return it at the physical store in person later (at a later date when things aren't so crazy) until after Christmas. Even online, many stores will let you return an item as long as it isn't worn or specially custom created (definitely check with each store before purchasing though, just to be sure).

I'm excited to announce that I'm having my very first show here in Charleston, SC this Friday! A wine and wine goblet sterling silver necklace. A small faceted genuine garnet hangs suspended as a "drop of wine", above this detailed, realistic wine goblet. This is one of my new faves: sterling silver wine lovers earrings with a green grape, made just for the white wine drinker. The green grape is a handmade green glass bead and the wire is made from sterling silver. A real cork is pushed through the cork screw.

New Fall Jewelry at Aziza Jewelry

I'm so happy that Fall is officially here!

Now that I'm back on the east coast (in case you missed my last post I moved to Charleston, SC in August) I get to experience more of the four seasons again and I'm looking forward to a much milder fall and winter than back in my hometown of NYC.

A few things I love about fall are: the crisp cool air during my morning walks, the way the colors of the leaves change and the warmer tones of clothes and jewelry that I can mix into my wardrobe. I also love that its finally boot season!

And just in time for cooler weather, I've recently designed a few new drop style earrings with some warmer and cooler tones blended together.

I recently sourced a beautiful new gemstone which organically combines malachite and lapis lazuli and designed these new earrings with smaller faceted lapis and round malachite.

Aziza Jewelry is Back on the East Coast

Last month I made another huge move. If you've been following me for a while, you know that at the end of 2012, I moved from my hometown of Brooklyn, NY to Santa Barbara, CA, a dream I had for the previous 7 years. I moved in search of sun, sand, more inspiration and a more calm, peaceful way of life. After 33 years, city life had begun to take a toll on me, after all. :/ And truthfully I had always felt like more of a small town girl at heart.

Well, this time around I moved from Santa Barbara, California, back to the east coast- to Charleston, South Carolina. Moving from California to South Carolina has been the most hectic move of my life yet, and I've been dealing with a recent accident related injury which occurred just after I moved, which is why I have not really been able to post more frequently. While I originally moved back east to be closer to friends and family, I'm already missing the laid-back-paradise-lush Santa Barbara vibe. But it was also time for change for me and for my business and overall I'm glad to be in my new home near the beach, my inspiration.

While I am still getting set up again and getting settled in, I'm also having a post moving Sale. Some new pieces have been posted within the last few weeks and more will be posted next week. Toast My Birthday!

It's my birthday! And as I sit this morning and contemplate my plans for today, I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another year being alive on the planet. Today I plan to get a bit of work done (but not too much because it is my birthday after all) and then I am off to get my complimentary Starbucks Rewards birthday beverage, take a relaxing walk along the beach, maybe a quick visit to the mission rose garden to smell the roses (roses are my favorite flower), give myself a sparkly manicure and then later tonight, probably a glass of my favorite rose-prosecco blend. A pretty low key day all in all. :)
